Labor Symptoms

Contractions are the lightest among the symptoms of labor. The contractions that indicate the onset of labor are annoying, long duration at a frequency of at least 2 or 3 every 10 minutes.

It is at that moment when you must go to the hospital where the doctor will assess if the cervix is fully dilated.

There are also two other signs that indicate the proximity of birth:

* Water breaking: the breaking of the bag in which the child has lived during pregnancy lets loose the amniotic fluid, which is known as “water breaking”, if this occurs (it shows how a liquid flows, similar to wet above) should go immediately to hospital where he prepared income.

* Bloody show: the mucus plug forms in the cervix when the woman becomes pregnant in order to prevent infection of the fetus at the time the plug is expelled, is ready to begin the expansion phase .

When to go to hospital

Delivery typically takes several hours so you usually need not rush to go to hospital. Anyway, do not hesitate to go to hospital if you feel nervous, once there, the doctor will assess whether the onset of labor is imminent or is best to relax and go home.

In any case, you should always go to the hospital in the event of a loss of blood or water breaks.
